I used LM4562 on some of my collected decks (Revox B215, Nak 700ZXL etc) without very prominent changed in sound qualities that alert you wanting to shout out 'wow', there is some magic in this opamp....
But I did try LME49710HA(TO99-metal can) in my Sony CDP-557ESD subtituting the 5534 (the audio buffer out) and the result is unbelievable encouraging with some magical spells that you have to try to believe. The most significant change at the first instance you turned on the player is the vast improvement in the bass region (lower,deeper,more control, more definition,more slam...) that enchanted you to keep on listening as if a higher musical nirvana
is reached. |

This is the latest news for LM 4562
As first time we order at digikey Singapore
Because they werent available the LM4562
(They give us answer, 12 days after order)
so we must order from digikey USA
For not increase the price (30% taxes in indonesia)
so Si Jopie ask digikey sent this LM to his friend in PA, USA
The LM 4562 has arrived 2 weeks ago from digikey
as i known si jopie order when ttr need his email
the latest (maybe) some procedure in digikey himself
Now, as i known our address and quantity needed
have to sent to his friend and i hope everything
must be posted to your address but it is depend
on his friend service
This is the news what i have when i seen him

OK, let's see if I got this right. The first order of chips from the Digikey Singapore didn't go through because there were no LMs available. It seems I missed the report of that.
So then these chips were ordered from Digikey USA, and in order to keep taxes low, were delivered to somebody living in there. I had no idea of this either. And now that person should have all our addresses and has been sending them out all over the world, correct?
Or is that person still debating if s/he will collaborate ("it is depend on his friend service")...or what?
In any case, these chips would now arrive about a month too late for what I planned to use these for. I have to make an another order for myself, and unfortunately they are not going to be LMs either, not with our local prices and availability.
Well, if these LMs ever appear here, maybe there's some other use for them, somewhere. Too bad, the initial deal was pretty good....too good? |

Where are you located? I think I have 6pcs. of LME49720, which is identical to the LM4562. Perhaps you can substitute the other 12 you need with OPA2134 for now (I have plenty of these). |

I have received the reply from Digi-Key. The shipping cost to Hong Kong is around US$70.- The reply is accompanied by a series of questions on Company name, final destinations, usage of the IC's........etc in order to comply with the Export Law of US. The reply date is due by mid-March.

As this group buy seems to have hit a wall, in spite of many good efforts.
I have been communicating with an E’Bay seller , “semielectric” I have bought from him in the past.
he says he can supply and has in stock LM4562 . 8 pin dip.
120 at $3.90 each + shipping (approx $20 for 120 batch within USA).
He will only keep this price if 120 app are ordered and posted to one address, USA preferred.
Is it possible that a DiyAudio member in this GB can then forward them to others.

Yes, indeed...wouldn't it make everything just more like a good old mess if we all of a sudden start to receive these chips we have been waiting for so long, and there would already be a second round ordered?
It's not necessarily the lack of interest why people are not lining up for another GB, but more like confusion of what is really happening with the old one.
Since the original organizer has been curiously silent ever since, someone has to make initiative. The first thing is to clear whatever has been hanging on, so let's just do that, shall we?
I can start. I will NOT be a part of this last GB anymore. I will wait one more week just to get any possible late note in, otherwise I'm out as of now.
I will consider a possible new GB after this last chance period is over, although my original need is already gone and done. Maybe few chips just in case, we'll see. |

Hi,
I just called si_jopie by phone, and got the prbolems he has.
He is a very busy businessman with the real job he has.
He already buy many pieces of LM4562 being order here in this GB, but the shipping from digikey is missed shipment to jakarta and all checked and rechecked about this takes times even to digikey. The result are the items are not delivered and sendback to digikey.
So he made a decision to shortcut time wasted. With helping by his friends to accept this and distribute from USA.
Perhaps his friends not count this deal as we are here, especially to manage GB, really is hard to do! I can imagined his friends confusing about this all about... hehehe...
many names many address and for God sake distribute this little critter to all around the world
And time different making hard to communicate to his friend is not smooth (10 hours diff time)
But i also got the info, his friends already got "what happen" and already post some to you, maybe his friends have got some spare time about this ;)
So dont worry to all of you, in a short time you will be received, what you request here, and si_jopie say pls be sorry for all this.

Wasn't it the member Gulfstream who announced pretty much the same thing 25. of Feb (see previous page). Now this.
Whos next to bring the (not so new) news to us, after an appropriate wait of course...like one month, maybe?
Just to keep things fair and open, shouldn't the person actually handling the physical side of this GB finally present him/herself to us and tell the exact situation as it is right now, at least privately? Or are we supposed to just sit and wait while our addresses and all have been tossed around the globe to whoever would like to see and use them, somehow?
And Jopie is still in charge of the payments? So this friend sends some chips by airmail, sea, train...something nobody knows...if s/he will. Then we will receive the chips, if we do. Then we will accept them, if we do. And if all ifs meet, maybe we pay something to somebody. Might wanna buy a lottery ticket too, I think.
Hope the possible package comes with a return address. I'm just so much more out of this mess. Thanks for all the efforts, I do know it's not that easy to arrange even national GBs sometimes. Still, even with just a regular job and extended hours, I'm busy enough too. Things gotta move and happen. Sometimes. Maybe. |
