Hi all!

I want to use Ixys DSEI30-06A Diodes (30A 600Volt, Fred-Diodes, TO247 package) in my Aleph3 and my Aleph4 Monos.
I want to use 4 Diodes (not eight). How do i calculate the heat dissipation? 0.7V x 2.4A for the Aleph4 for one Diode? Is this correct? Have i got to use heatsinks for the Diodes in the Aleph3 and my Aleph4 Monos?
Thanks in advance!

Looking at the IXYS datasheet for the DSEI30-06A shows a forward voltage drop of 1.6 Volts for 25 deg C.
(I was looking at these parts yesterday and noticed that they seem to have a high V(f) - I am liking the IR MUR3020WT, which lists for $2.68 each at DigiKey)
(0.85 Volt at 10 Amps)
