Super T-Amp Power Supply - Click HERE for Original Thread

I ordered a SI Super T-Amp after reading the rave reviews all over the net and the remarks on this site. I'm totally new do the DIY Audio scene. I have some experience with car audio and even more with computer hardware. I like to build things and break things and put things back together.

That said, I've read the FAQ and tried doing some searching. I see that everyone replaces the stock power supply:

quote:
What size power supply do I need?
At least 12 volts, 1.5 Amps. It is best not to run the Sonic Impact over 13V, and a heatsink is a good idea at that voltage. The 41Hz AMP6 has a built in power supply. A 3 to 5 amp regulated supply is plenty. The amps typically draw about 300mA with a musical signal.

Where do you buy them? Does Radio Shack carry these?

The FAQ also meantioned a DIY Mod FAQ on the way. How is this coming?

A list of terms with descriptions and pictures would be great.

I know you guys must answer questions over and over the same way I do on other forums. Please bear with me.

You don't need t replace the power supply on the Super-T, it comes with one.
You can, if you want, but it is a pretty good supply. And there is a good filter in the amp, too.
