Hi,
Just wondering if anyone out there has built themselves a Welborne Labs valve amp? In particular the DRD 300B.
Ive been thinking about getting one but i'd love to hear one beforehand as its quite an investment.
Does anyone know where I can hear one please?

| You'd have to come to Chicago to hear mine, but I will say that I love them -- best bass I've heard from a power amp. Mine are stock except I used tant resistors and cheapo tubes, though I have been thinking about going in to do some tinkering. |

| I've built the ST70 kit (4 amps ago) and can now say it's one of the BEST designs for the ST. I've yet to hear a Van Alstine Ultimate kit so may be biased :), but I can't pry it from my wife either if that tells you anything. Am going on to the 845's for my next iteration. The kit is less expensive, but the time involved, moderate skills in assembly may be worth your time. Steve |
