I did do a search first in case you wanted to know, I_F :D
I'm leaning towards teflon insulated 18 gauge solid for all DC power and signal chassis wiring. A well known purveyor has the stuff for 75 cents a foot...in colors :D
Some of the more esoteric yet value stuff did also catch my eye like the Kimber TCSS 19 gauge stranded stuff at 85 cents a foot and others like Vampire, etc.
Where does the cost versus functionality curve really hit its apex?
What do you guys recomend as a single wire to use for wiring up an LM3875 amp?

| I believe that the general consesus is that for internal wiring, the distances are so short that it doesn't make a significant difference what you use, as long as it is decent sized (not really tiny like 26 gauge). 18 gauge solid should be fine. |

| I do almost all the power and speaker lead wiring in my projects with the wire from old PC power supplies. The length of the wires is plenty long enough for almost any chassis. You can find old or dead supplies for free most of the time. |

| me too...they are of pretty good quality in PSU's of OEM's of Compaq and HP etc...after years of use also..little or no trace of Carbon..and all conductors are tinned as well ! |

I ordered some 18 gauge teflon insulated stuff from Percy Audio and now I need to see if it fits into all the holes in the PCB.
I also saw some cheap "thermostat" wire at the Home Depot that looked interesting. |
