I wasn't aware that Sansui was still in business?
I know for a few years the quality of thier stuff dropped off (like most companies, sadly.),presumably before they closed shop?
Guess my assumption was incorrect.
I certainly wasn't aware that they still make/sold car audio equipment.
Learn something new everyday. :) |

Sansui has not marketed any car products for over a decade. When they did PPi made their amps. And if my memory serves me tonight they were last years models so YES they were bridgable and Mosfet.
Sansui was a late entry into car audio and so they just had PPI knock out a version of their current line and at that time Mosfet and bridgable were standard issue items. |

| I took my Sansui amplifier into PPI in Phoenix around 40th street and broadway). I had questions about the performance. They let me in to the repair shop. The head tech hooked my am to an "O" scope. He told me that one of the power supply caps was disconnected. I asked about the Sansui PPI connection. He told me that the Sansui amp was underbuilt. Not closed to the performance of the regular PPI line. The boards were not as full as PPI's line. I later learned that they made amps for G&S, Pyramid sounds , Lanzar Opti 100 and 200 , Black Max, and others. |

| funny post on the old sansui,s the old white sm series with the ppi boards ,i have a oct 89 car audio mag with a comparison test of the sansui sm 6000 and the ppi 2300m among other big amps of the time both the sansui and ppi were not bridgable in those models but the ppi measured 340 wpch into 4 ohms the sansui did 280 wpch all other specs were almost identicle other than input sens , |
