how to set current in G Pimm's latest self-biasing CCS circuit? - Click HERE for Original Thread
jarthel
here's the circuit: http://home.pacifier.com/~gpimm/self_bias.htm

I was going to measure the voltage across R1 and use ohm's law to derive current but I'm not sure if R1 is the place to check. or maybe it is the wrong way to check.

The amp is not connected to the B+. I have connected the transformer, tube rectifier, LC filter (10H + 10uF) and G Pimm's circuit. nothing else is connected after the CCS circuit.

any ideas?

thanks for the help.
