Good afternoon, your driver transistors are

in the circle in the driver section motorola F15030
opposite is a motorola F15031 mine are original all plastic case devices you can use the metal case T0-220 style with insulators like you already have on one side. Replacements include any of the 15030 family devices from motorola. I have seen japanese devices used later on in manufacture of this same amp. But I would stick with the 15 amp rated driver thats there.

The dual diode circled is IR 16CPF10
its match is a IR 16JFP10

Basically you can use and dual diode rated at 16 amps or more and a 100 volt rating. I stock 30 amp rated units for replacement that are isolated cased so no insulator needed, just a sil-pad for heat transfer medium.

hope that helps you out :)

Justonemoreamp can you take a look at this picture and see if i got it right? Thanks again...:D

The drivers are correct MJF15030 and 31.

as for pos or neg. i dont remember, but you should be able to chipfind the part numbers fo a ID on those :)
shallowfu
Can you tell me witch of 16CPF10 or IR 16JFP10 goes next to the mosfet?I'm not sure of the placement of them. One is next to the mosfet and the other next to the temp sensor. Are they placed the same on both sides or flip flop?I got one of these amps but, it was missing parts but,did have all the screws.
justonemoreamp
"The dual diode circled is IR 16CPF10
its match is a IR 16JPF10 < towards the FETS

Why can't you read the numbers on these devices ? I see know reason why they are not easily visable:cannotbe: :cannotbe: :cannotbe: :)

The org. parts that came on mine were sf302a and sf302 so i have been trying to match those.I got fep30dp and fen30dp as replcements but, the org. parts where given to me off the board so thats why i'm having trouble were they go.I think i was just reading your reply wrong the first time.I had put it all togeather and one channel was very clear and the other channel was distorted and low.Nothing is heating up or out of the norm.Sorry if i'm picking at your brain.;) I seem to get all the amps in pieces for some reason.:(

So you got a parts amps to repair LOL LOL LOL I see those every once in a while. I usually double my price to fix those LOL as I believe that the person that took it apart should be able to repair it better than me.
Afterall they were smart enough to bury themselves in it and give up. :xeye: As Dirty Harry Calahan would say "A man has got to know his limitations".

Oh well, yes they used the part numbers you have listed also, and the Fep30 and Fen30 are excellent replacements.
As for polarity just trace the center leads of the rectifer packages to there respective capacitor tie point. I'm sure that it will all become apparent with that.

You should have told me that your pics were not of the work in progress you were questioning, if for any reason so we can laugh at its owner a bit;) :) :D :D :D

Also, if your not familiar with Gold plated boards then heres a few suggestions to protect the gloroius gold surface finish on these amps. You should clip out all defective components and apply soldering iron heat from the bottom of the board to protect the upside gold finish. Use tweezers to pull the old leads out from the top side of the board where needed and from the bottom as much as possible, also desolder the thru holes from the bottom of the board as much as possible.
Clean your work surfaces with high quality pro-flux remover, not acetone as acetone will dull and leave a film on the surface of the board.
By the way, I specialize in PG amps, as I own and use them in my own cars.

You can and should e-mail me direct for anymore info on these one of a kind beauties from the past.:) :) :) :)

My new ques. is it has to-92 package 2n4403 and some 2n4401 on both sides of the outputs.I need to know where the 2n4401 is on both sides. If anyone know the placement on the board or number on the board that would be great!I have a picture of the area where i have in ques.It seems everytime i look this amp over it's missing something!Justonemoreamp this isn't my amp it was a picture sent to me by tristan.

Got the problem solved in the last post.I powered up the amp and it works on one channel perfect. The other is distorted and there are 2 leds that indicate the channel works that aren't on.I'm not sure why the channel is off but, I'm sure a pg guy would have heard of this maybe? Thanks.

OK the LEDs are indicators that the power is present to the channel drivers stage. THEY do blow out under low ohm loads. Test them with a lithium battery from a computer motherboard. This will not damage the LED and if the led is good it will lite up dimly.
If the LEDs are good then look for the Green colored resistors near the leds they are cuurrent limits and they to blow out like fuses to prevent fire and other things from going bad.

You should ohm out all the green colored resistors as there sole purpse is to act like fuses and limit current to the stages when the channel is under excessive strain.

If you find bad resistors then start looking for bad semi's. You don't want to replace all those blown current limits and then just power up the amp, is not a smart procedure. Excessive current draw caused this scenario, so you need to pay attention to those devices that endured that condition and make sure everything is in working order before re-appling power to the channel.

Good luck, and you know where to find me , I'm back from vacation

:)

Lucky you!I hope you had a blast!I did find a blown resistor fuse and the leds are good.I am glad to say it is back working with both channels perfect. This was one i am glad to be done with. This amp was missing so much parts but, replaced about everything and went over everything and now it works.Justonemoreamp thanks also tristan.

That was me over there on SB also  :D :D :D :D Yes I have two similar but different names. The name I use here is a knock off against a guy on e-bay that got his name from mine on e-bay. The only problem is the e-bayer just fella is a bad guy on e-bay. He fix's his auctions and such, along with his buddy Andy they shill bid each others auctions, and resell amps for each other so they can cover there tracks, or so they think. SB has two very complete posts going on both those fellas check them out when you get a chance, The reality is startling about those two bad e-bayers.

Anyway glad to have been of help to you on your PG amp. I run PG amps, and collect them from time to time. If its a PG amp issue or whatever the SB forum is the place, all the old PG forum folks are there, plus several PG employees.

Best of luck, and you know how to reach me if need be:D

I have talked to both guys on the phone and sold stuff to them.Andy right now i'm not happy with and the other one hasn't done anything to me.I remember one time i told andy that people thought of justonemoreamp on ebay as the ebay amp pimp,he didn't like that!I like patrick over at underground,he nice and talk alot to jamie over at J&R ELECTRONICS sells soundstream parts on ebay.I know what andy and the other do and i know they do the bidding game for sure!I know a couple of other guy with a lower key that do the same stuff.I will buy lots of broken stuff but,i aways tell everyone whats going on and most of the time like you everyone knows the work done and respect. If anything goes wrong you be a man and fix that problem.
I have only one name on ebay and it's been the same for 6 years.I use the same name on every forum and use the same name on every email.Nothing to hide and have lots of great friends. Also i go around people at some shows and they would put a shoe up my @$$.
I thought about putting up a website 100% about car audio repair.I put togeather a website but, look like ampguts a little, very simple. The cost isn't high to put it up,not like i need space for downloads or anything.I think if i did that i would need others to keep it up,i just don't have the time but, would love to get others that like the same and could help others.I do it all the time and if i need help i'll ask and i never think i know everything and i'm allways learning. Thanks again for your help!

Jaime of JandR is the best people to know, I know Patrick also. He sells golden items that cost more than retail so I tend to shy away. I need to pay my rent first if you know what I mean
Yeah Andy and justmore pimp are a team. Theres a thread on SB now, some guys flying in to the country to collect from Andy, seems he sold a amp to him, than had Justmorepimp sell it on e-bay for a second time. looks like it will get interesting.
I have bid against you before lol lol lol your willing to pay too much for broken items, but if it does you good then its all good from me:D

I have another friend that has made his own repair videos, I need to hook you two guys up, I think you two might be able to put something together. I will e-mail him on your behalf. You both share common goals, so it might just work out for the two of you:)
