Cool! A way to make your pc boards look like they were laid out by hand using an xacto knife! I've seen old boards that looked just like that, and done the odd one myself.

Siince the pads are effectively much bigger, you'd need to apply more heat when soldering, so it wouldn't be good for production boards, especially if wave-soldered. But it does make sense for rapid-prototyping since it minimizes the amount of copper to be cut away.

I like it cause it fattens up the lines :D No more thin trace issues!

As soon as save up enough $$$ to get a Sherline mill, I'm offering my services as a pcb prototype place :). Not ready yet though. Still figuring it all out. Working as a DJ for the moolah to get the mill:smash: :cannotbe:
