Hey guys,
I’m looking for the faceplate portion of the Rockford/Denon 8240/50. The whole front section including the display board would be ideal, but just the aluminum piece would work as well. The intent is to mill out a new face conforming to DIN standards, black face with new screen printing as well as an LED change out. Unfortunately the one I have is currently my only HU so I can’t really have it out for the time it will take to create a new one. Anyone have any parts like this or a dead one?
Concerning the digital out... I’ve read that some of you have tried to do this but due to firmware issues this was impossible. Have any of you tried to do a EEPROM dump and hack the code of take a dump from one of the real Denon’s with Dig out and upload it to the Rockford? I haven’t yet disassembled the transport section so I don’t know what types of chips are contained.
Anyone have a service manual for this?????
Last mod I would like to accomplish would be a Coaxial input to Toslink conversion. Anyone attempted this? Anyone have an extra input daughter board?
Thanks,
Ian |
