I am here to hopefully get some help( and hopefully give some) on some audio equipment repairs/mods.I currently have a problematic tascam cd-302 on my mind to figure what to to with.My other paperwieghts are an ensoniq eps 16+ ,a tascam 4 track(cassete)(can't remember model off hand),an old modular sunn mixer,and some other stuff i'm sure(by the way ,these did not die from me trying to mod them.
I love electronics and have decent experience in some areas , but am definetly limited in my knowledge. I work fulltime+ at a non professional job so my time is very limited for projects and i dont have much $.I used to dabble alot more in electronics , but i have decided that if i am ever going to make some actual audio tracks i am proud of , that i need to focus more on that.I feel i am geting old!
I mostly listen to electronic music but appreciate all kinds.
When someone asks me what kind of music i like , i say "i pretty much like the good stuff ,but not the bad stuff".I then explain that i can appreciate all kinds of music if i like it.Some artists i only like 1 of
their songs.
The reason i spend my music listening time on electronic is because i have been hobying around electronic sound/music production for the last 10 yrs. or so(and i have had alot of experience troubleshooting!).
I am interested in expiramental/generative/new audio dsp technology , but i am completely self taught/ hands on & the internet research,so i am not really a pro .
I am excited to be part of this forum and look forward to communication. |
