I know that Maxim IC does have a lot of less than 100 ohms R on multiplexer to choose from. Can some of them be use in high performance audio equiment as input source selector switch???

Yes you can. I've used the DG211 / 212 with good results into a virtual earth input (inverting input of an opamp). There was some argument on the forum a couple of years back, whether the series resistor should be before or after the switch. I favour it before the switch (close to the input).
However, IMO nothing beats a good mechanical switch or relay!
