Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knew of a place I could get an 8P Din Cord for my Nakamichi Stereo. Here is a pic of the connection. I called Nakamichi USA and they referred me to the parts department and said the cost would be $128!!!! Is that correct? Its just a simple cord. What are your thoughts? |

Hello Gixxer !
That connector is "mini-DIN". Nothing really special. $128 is a true rip-off for that replacement cable !
I advice you to start experimenting, and make a cable for yourself !
Regards. |

That does not look the same as a normal 8 pin din. the 2 rows of 3 look the same length, where normally they are spaced differently. possibly this has been done to force you to buy that cable.

what does that cable do anyways? |

| When all else fails, use a standard 9-pin serial connector. |

| Those were used on ancient Logitech mice too. Check at a second hand store for one. |

That's not a PS/2 connector, if that's what you're thinking. Mini-DIN's are a bit more rare. |
