I hope the guy gets some decent coin for it. I'm tapped right now myself, but still thinkin' about placing a bid...it be great PC amp.

It's depressing thinking about how many of these toasters went in the bin. I know I'm keeping my eyes peeled from now on.

I can hear my spouses approval now as dive in the dumpster :clown:

In reality, its a great idea for a cheap, yet still very sharp-looking Chassis.

However, I advise everyone to stay away from this amp design as it is Power Transformerless. very very dangerous

I am going to build one transformerless amp, it will be a class D amp hidden inside of the speaker box. ;)

A note of caution.
He's rectified the mains directly and used series connected heaters. Its a 110-120 V AC ONLY unit.
Says he would ship to Australia BUT it would not only not suit our mains voltage but would be illegal here due to zero mains isolation. Unless you are in the US you may have similar issues.
I would suggets using it via an isolation transformer anyway. I always cringe a bit when I see a project like this. "Drop Dead" georgous and "Drop Dead" dangerous.

Cheers from Oz,
Ian

YES! I don't think that you would plug your metal cased CD player into the toaster.
