I will modify my t-amp, blew up the first one.

Until I build a PSU, where can I get a best DC plug for the unit, I am using a 12V, 1amp, but I am told this may not be ideal...

I'm waiting for my adapter I picked up on eBay. It is for a Texas Instruments 6030 TravelMate Laptop, rated at 13Volts, 2.7 Amps. I've read a few different safe max voltage figures on these forums, but I think 13V is good. 2.7 Amps should be plenty. I paid $12.39 shipped.

Since you're in SoCal, go to Fry's and pick up a Meanwell smps. Its about $40 and worth it, output voltage adjustable too. 9-15V.
