How to read Voltage or Current DAC - Click HERE for Original Thread
newbie06
Hello,

I'm stuck trying to figure out whether the DAC chip below is voltage or a current one.

Could someone please shread some lights on how to read this? Thanks!!

I think I've figured out that this DAC is a voltage type because according to its datasheet, but still a little uncertain.

Anyone can confirm this for me? Thanks

I haven't looked at the data sheet but your figure says 'output amp' and 'Vout'. Definitely voltage out. And the datasheet should spell it out (like in 'voltage output DAC').
