I have an old Heathkit 20 watt mono tube amp that I love.
What is the worst that would happen if I wired both of my Martin Logan Ascent i's to the 4 ohm output?
Isn't that the same as running one of them off of the 8 ohm hook up?
What is the worst that could happen? Damage to amp or speakers?
Thanks,

If each MLA is 8.0R, and you connect them in parallel, the worst that will happen is that each one will get half the power. |

Actually, I just found out that they are 4 ohm loudspeakers! LOL
So now what is the worst that could happen?
Thanks,

Less power, more distortions, shorter life of output toobs. |

| If the two speakers are identical, wire them in series and use the 8 ohm output. |
