Denon POA-2800 any history? - Click HERE for Original Thread

Hey,

I just purchased a used 2800. Does anyone have any experience with these Denon monsters running into 4 ohm loads? There is no real rating into 4 ohms. I have 4 ohms speaker system, and I want to make sure that I will not be trying to drive too low of an impedance causing failure or overheating.

Also, anyone with manual or schematics for these ?

thanks,

Yes, some reviews and a few requests for schematics. Other misc references to the amp in home theatre systems.

Any info or experience is welcome.

Thanks!!

Don't be affraid :xeye:
My experiences with driving 4 Ohm loads are, that the amp protection circuit activates at even very low output levels (20-30W).
My conclusion:
Your amp will never overheat, and you will never be able to play really loud :(
