Pair Of DIY Aleph 2's F.S. - Click HERE for Original Thread
Mark A. Gulbrandsen
I have not used these in almost a year so I've decided to sell my Aleph 2 monoblocks. Would prefer local Salt Lake City pick up but will also drive within a 100 mile radius to meet someone that wants them. I can also take them to a local foam in place shipping outfit but you pay all packing and shipping expenses. These are big and very conservatively built... over heatsinked! $650.00 for the pair plus packing and shipping.

E-mail me for more details

Mark, if you are retiring these what is your favorite amp of all times, the one you would live with forever?

hehe
just two possibilities here:
1. Krell KSA XXX clone or
2.some junk from oldest and dirtiest movie theater Mark can find ;)

(I always prefer those junk findings ;Krell you can make always ;) )
Mark A. Gulbrandsen
The Krell is the best on my Dynaudios so far. I will take the $$ and build the KSA-100... need $$ to have the boards made up.

Mark,
I sent you an email asking for more info on the Aleph 2s.

Are the amps still for sale? Can you tell me the dimensions and weight? Does the amp have balanced XLR inputs? Thanks--Richard Jenkins
Mark A. Gulbrandsen
They are still available. They have both balancd and unbalanced inputs. They are large, about the size of a KSA-250 and have the same heatsinks. Am on a road trip but will measure them up and post a photo when I get back home in about a week.

I take it you don't want to sell. I understand.
Mark A. Gulbrandsen
Actually I am going to strip them out and rebuild them as KSA-100's. Are you interested in the parts, boards, matched devices, transformer... am keeping the caps though?

Possibly-depends if I can source heat sinks.
Mark A. Gulbrandsen
www.mmmetals.com They are very open to working with small orders and deal with alot of individuals like us. I get stuff form them... sometimes tales a while but they always deliver. The sinks on my 2's cost me over 350.00 so at this point I will make use of them so I can convection cool the KSA-100's.
