Power Pots - Click HERE for Original Thread

Hi folks. I constructed a new pair of speakers this past weekend, using only spare parts I had in my apartment, plus the set of Dayton 6.5" I won at the NW DIY event last month. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. :)

Keep in mind these aren't meant to be audiophile approved, they really are on my desk at work (I'll get a picture of that eventually). They WALK all over the $8 two inch full range plastic box mini speakers I had before.

Or is the big dish just behind the baffle a mixing bowl?

Look like the hat I was wearing at my "initiation" in the engineering faculty.

For your next trick, how about sawing a round hole in the middle of the kitchen table? ;)

That is a common trick over on the Full Range Forum. The trick is to find two table tops the same (or one big one you can cut in half). Doors are usually easier.

so Im thinking a flower pot, tupperware salad/popcorn bowl, and one of those 10" or so 1" thick table tops from Lowes/HD? Am I right?!?!?

Hope a rep from nORH doesn't log on and see this and sue you! (oh wait thats Bose that does that  )

They are both flower pots, one 14" x 7" roughly, the other a more or less standard 8" pot. :) You're dead on about the front baffle coming from Lowes. For $5, you couldn't make this nice of a baffle 1.25" thick! They originally were for my Emerald Towers, but I changed my mind and decided to go 18" on those.

I had only heard of nOrh before, I had never seen what they looked like until somebody pointed me to their web site. Striking similarity in the shape, I must admit!

No no no, not *a* kitchen table, *THE* kitchen table. :D
