Why not? Just the interface reciver chip. You can use it with any filters or DACs!

it's been 10 years since I've played witht he idea of DIY DACs, I lost the CS8412s that I had...don't where I placed them.

I gotta believe a dual Dac per channel could be configured as either in parallel for more current or or set up to run true balanced...
hm, with a bit of a switch maybe both configurations...

Sorry that I just have the CS8414. I havent seen CS8413 at Hong Kong also. I think it is not hot item for buliding the DAC. Maybe when I find it I notice you at the first time! :D

Yes, the CS8413 is very difficult to find, not many designs use it.
