I’m here to get some help building a home audio sub.
By recommendation, my original plan was to have:
--350 liter enclosure
--Dayton 15” DVC Driver
--Rhythmik Audio 250w plate amp (rumble filter @ 17 Hz)
--8” x 29.5” port (17.8 Hz tune)
Well I decided that a 350l enclosure was just too darn big. So here’s what I can do:
My budget is about $360. The sub will be going in a room that is about 300-400 sq. ft. I want to do a 200 liter ported enclosure. I will use the sub for movies/games/music.
I would like to get a Rhythmik Audio amp, because they can install the rumble filter for you and I don’t know how to do it, nor do I have the equipment. They make a (250w @ 4 ohm) amp and a (350w @ 4ohm) amp. I could go with either one of those. I will use any 15” driver that you think will work best with a 200L enclosure and a 250 or 350w amp. www.partsexpress.com is where I planned on getting most of my stuff from.
Once I get the amp and driver decided on, then we can talk about the port/box tuning frequency.
I appreciate any help.
--Thanks
P.S: How will this new design compare to my original 350l design? |

Save up the extra and go for the Rythmik Directservo kit, I've just finished one and it's
It goes flat well under 20Hz in my room in a 55L sealed box :xeye:
They're on sale at $429 at the moment :D |

| Thanks for the suggestion, that's not what I'm looking to do though. |
