Pro audio gear heads up... - Click HERE for Original Thread

The Brook Mays music stores are going belly up... They're to 30% off their pro-sound stuff right now, likely to go cheaper. Their stuff tends to be low-end - Daddy buying stuff so that Junior can have a garage band, band camp stuff, etc. - real shame, because they bought one of the better gear stores in town, and now it's going away too...

I picked up another Crown XLS402 this weekend for $248 w/tax. At 400 watts/channel into 4 ohms, it works nicely for home theater subs. Downside is no crossover stuff.

My system at present routes the LFE through a 20hz 2nd order highpass fmod (looking for alternative) to a BFD, then onto an XLS602 and a pair of ported Quatro15s under the screen... The mains go to a Behringer FBQ3102 equalizer, which splits out the mains to an XLS402, and sends a (3rd order highpassed at 25hz) mono-sub-out signal to the new XLS402, which powers a pair of sealed 0.875Q Quatro15s which sit under the mains... The EQ is crossing 'em 3rd order at about 80hz from the mains.

Rock DVDs sound good. Norah Jones sounds good.
