Where to get prototype boards in the UK? - Click HERE for Original Thread

I've had some problems finding a source of predrilled prototype boards in the UK.

I'm looking for single/dual sided boards with standard 0.1" (2.54mm) hole pitch and about 6" (~150mm) square in size. The products of Vector Electronics seems to be just right for my needs however they inform me their only UK distributor is Digikey (US) and delivery is a minimum of $35!

This is the sort of thing I'm looking for:

Any suggestions of products/distributors will be welcome.

Thanks for that - I tried searching Farnell, but for some reason that doesn't cover all Farnell groups!

Bottom of the page. Things to note
  • No minimum order
  • Orders under £18 are VAT & duty-free, courtesy HM Customs & Excise
  • Delivery US$4 to UK works out around £2.12, less than most UK firms
  • Allow 10-14 days on delivery, stuff comes from Thailand.

Cheers for the post.

The website looks pretty good, not a huge range (compared to Farnell, RS, etc), but much nicer prices
;) - have you had any experience buying from them?

Several orders without a problem - I'd sooner buy resistors in 10's rather than Rapid's 100-packs or pay through the nose at Maplin, plus most stuff is cheaper than UK prices.

A UK firm I've used (again just basic components but a decent range of semis and cheaper than Maplin) is ESR but they've no online shop and have put their delivery up from £1.75 to £2.50 since I last used them. :( They do plain perfboard and stripboard, but not the copper pad pattern you're after AFAIK.
