would it be dpno? thank you.

Most relays are NO (Normally opened). So you need a double pole? Sometimes they come as DPDT double pole, double throw. If you get DPDT, you can choose to connect to the NC (normally closed) of the NO (normally open) contacts. The other contacts will be the common connection. Here's a typical datasheet <http://pewa.panasonic.com/pcsd/prod.../pdf_cat/hc.pdf>

Hi,
do you need double pole or would single pole do?
SPST are usually NO. and due to the single contatc are often rated at higher currents
