air pressure in relation to decibels - Click HERE for Original Thread

anyone know the atmospheric pressure (bar, millibar) scale in relation to decibels?

eg; say for example 140 db's, how much air pressure would this be?

i want to try and make an spl meter, using pressure/tremor sensors...i have access to the parts, but just have to know which sensor to use, so i can calibrate as best i can.

if anyone has a link to this info, that would be most excellent.

any help appreciated.

thanx!
