kimber silver streak - how to solder this little cable - which wire is going to "+" and which one to "-" .......thanks for the help
regards
sunny

p.s. should "silver"looking wire be connected to "+" and other two to "-" ??

Hi,
make the pin connection the same as the other end.
Similarly make the ground connection(s) the same as the other end.

thank you for reply - the problem is that i don't know how the other end is looking - i have bare wire - no connectors (don't ask :) )

Hi,
since you are starting afresh, then make boths ends match.
sunrise
o.k. - Dear Andrew, thnx for the effort

- to start from the beginning because i think i was very unclear - sorry about that

I am having 1.5 meters of Silver Streak wire that i want to cut in half to have 2 pieces of 0.75m of cable that i would use for left and right channel that have no connectors right now on each end. The picture above is only to show the cable (so that we know about what we are talking about) but that one on the picture is not my cable (it was downloaded from Kimber Kable home page - i think).
Yes i match both ends to look same but, which wire is going to "plus" and which wire is going to "ground" since Silver Streak has 3 wires - one silver looking one, and two Black ones (that are having probably copper inside). Should i connect silver wire to the "plus" and the rest to the "ground"??
I hope that my question is a little bit more clear.....

Hi,
I thought the pic showed three wires, but I was not sure I could see well enough, which is why I wrote
quote:
ground connection(s)
However, it does not matter which wires go to which connection as long as both ends are the same.
But I think the intention of the supplier is to take the double wire to the ground and the single to the pin.
Try asking Kimber.

Why don't you contact the Kimber website and get the real info? I don't know either.

Hello Sunrise,

I believe you have 3 conductors. One is silver and the other 2 are copper.

I am 99%sure that what you have was originally hooked up with the silver conductor as positive and both copper wires as the negative.

If you have a continuity checker, it will tell you which wire is connected where so you can match it :)

Hi guys,
thanks for many replies :)

Silver Streak has three wires - one of them is silver and the other two are made from copper .....
i thoought that silver one should go to "plus" and the other two (copper ones) to "ground", but i wanted a confirmation .....
KevinLee gave me that - i will also try to find the originaly made Silver Strak to compare .....so far nothing, but i will try.....

i don't like the idea to contact Kimber (although this might be the best way to get the best information) :)
regards
