if you need a Sony service manual and don't mind paying a few bucks and getting it in electronic (Adobe PDF) format, here's a neat site that sells manuals for tons of models:

i got my SCD-C222ES service manual for $9.20, within 24 hours they email you a URL where you can download the entire document (about 7MB in my case for 100 pages). great if you are in a bind and need the manual quick, and it's the full manual, with all test procedures, block diagrams, schematics, etc. some of the schematics are very high density but i'm getting fine results on a 600dpi laser printer with standard size paper.
