Hey all,
I'm basically a complete noob to audio - so please forgive my ignorance.

Anyways, I want to build a little portable audio thing, I saw a .50 cal ammo box at a marine store a while ago and bought it because it looked like an awesome project box. I think it would make a great portable stereo.

Anyways, what would you all recommend for an amp/speakers? I hear the Sonic Impact T-amp is real good, but only 5w and I want something pretty loud. I'm no audiophile but I want it to sound decent.

Oh, and I don't have a lot of money. As if I even need to tell you that :P

Thanks!

Ammo boxes are usually made of heavy gauge steel. You're going to need to drill holes, and maybe do some cutting. Unless you have experience doing such work on steel, I'd recommend you look for an aluminum box. Steel is a PITA!

No, I have no problem with that stuff, I've done it before. I just have no idea about the audio side of things.

How big is an ammunition box?
