Just got my chips today. Since my V3 dac is still in the box coz waiting for my custom wound trafo to be ready, I went to my fren to test the chips. The S2 was compared with the S1. IMHO, I would go for the S2 anytime. The S2 is quieter with fuller sound, more fluid, more accurate tonality, more organic, more articulate n with gud bass weight n slam. N the S2 is not yet running in! I expect later with more running in, the sound will be more open n improves on every aspect. Wonder wether u will bring somemore S2 for other diyer to enjoy.

I got my chips today.
In my DAC v2, there's definitely a difference. Right now, I think it sounds better than the regular TDA1541. Some break-in is needed though so I don't want to jump into conclusions, but high frequency detail and soundstage are definetly improved. I'll report back after a few days.

For the 8412, I only can get the CS8412-IS only. Every chips I sold will funish(pre-solder) already in a smd to dip adapter with gold pins. directly plu & play.
