Power transformer for OPA541AM - Click HERE for Original Thread

As OPA541AM has 10A max continous current and 5A norminal continous current, what should be the best suited tranformer for it?

I want to use only one tranformer for both chennals.
Is 16V-0-16V 10A is enough for the application? Or any other suggestion?

As I read in Ti website, they suggest this IC is not suitable for any new design. I think OPA549T is better for Gainclone.

For 16V-0-16V 10A transformer, it's enough for the application. If you need more power, 20V-0-20V may be better.

But I already have a pair of OPA541AM.

As I assembled this OPA549T, I think it is sensible with any spark that is a cause IC damaged. :bawling: Two of mine were damaged and this IC is quite expensive.
