Hi,
Does anyone know the equivalent pairs of C2592/A1112 and A6/A8 output transistors which were used in the Threshold Stasis 1/2/3 power amps?
And if there are not exact equivalents, which type of transistors could be used in there place?
Master N. please?
Thanks,
Nick |

Thanks a lot for the reply,
I was thinking MJE 15030/1 and MJ15024/5.
Any other/better idea esp. for the latter? |

The Panasonic drivers were 125 MHz devices, i can imagine Mr P. choosing such fast devices with good reason.
The drivers and center complementary set of output devices work as a precision output stage at low level signals.
The additional rows of A6 and A8 devices tag in at higher output levels. The number of such slow devices in parallel make them perform quite well at high output power, the magic is in their total number. Given the shear number of output devices i can not imagine it makes much difference if you go for MJ15003/4, MJ15024/25 or higher Hfe types like MJ2119*s. I'd say: go for the ones that are the cheapest.
It's like an Alaskan sled race, 12 dogs pulling the sled but you need the very best ones in front.
The Master will have to say if you can use the MJE15030/1 |
