Very nice, but I think that laser looks horibly like the Sony BU-1E that I had in a Onkyo Grand Integra DX-G10, very nice laser but impossible to get a new one anywhere on this planet. I managed a second hand one after months of searching that saved my butt, or the customers Onkyo was going to end up being a very expensive 40kg paper weight, I hope for your sake Peter if it's yours you never need to get a replacement laser assembly.

Cheers George

Actually, it would be a good idea to find a spare laser, I have to check about the availability.

The transport itself is very good, can't think about anything that could improve the performance, that means no mods for now ;)

So what is the brand of the laser lens? Is it Sony? Looks like some older Sanyo. Thanks for sharing the pictures Peter :)

the two i have look to be sanyo;)
Peter Daniel
They look definitely very similar and I would be interested in them.
karma
no problem ill send them.
Peter Daniel
Thanks,

The original CEC pickup may be indeed from Sanyo as there are couple of Sanyo chips inside.

CEC was owned (still is ?) by Sanyo, so that would make sense.
