Alright X, you must break out some English for us and tell us how it sounds. Please.

The design is very nice indeed and the cabinet work is very well done.

Bravo Sir!

Edit: My comments were not strong enough originally. The revision goes as follows:

That's *******ing Awesome!

I'm glad I got that off my chest.

Excellent finish:cool:

Hi All,

Thanks for all nice words about my new subwoofer and site too.

This project was made for music reproduction and the result sound is
very, very good for music and movies too, wiht great "punch" and
resolution in bass reproduction.

Sorry for my bad english

Thanks,

Renato

What's wrong with your English ? I'd say nothing at all.
You don't have to sneak around in the shadows, it's time you come out in the sun ;)
And what a great job you've done there

Have a nice day.

Nice work all around.

This just in: you have mad skills, my friend.

I have been planning to make stereo subs as bases for my MTMs and your project has given me an alternative approach to consider for two 12s.

Impressive, and thanks for sharing.

Can someone explain the idea of a push-push subwoofer to me?
Is the box volume twice that of a single driver & are the drivers wired in same or reverse polarity? Thanks.
imjatse
Great work on both those subs! It really looks like you put a lot of thought into the internal design based on the shots on your site.

Push-push generally means the woofers are mounted in the same orientation and are powered in phase. "push-push" has nothing to do with box size, although if you want to keep the same response with more drivers you have to multiply the internal volume by the according factor.

Push-pull means the woofers are mounted facing opposite directions and are powered out of phase.
Ap
Thanks - its just that this seems to be a rather unusual implementation of push-push, ie one forward firing driver & one "up"firing in the base of the enclosure.
paulspencer
M&K do the same thing in some of their subs.

Nice work.

My only issue is regarding using push pull with drivers not mounted on the same baffle. I emailed Linkwitz regarding having the drivers apart, and he stated the only way he would do it is with both drivers on the same baffle. It doesn't make sense to me that they should have to be that close, however I'm inclined to think twice since I regard his opinion very highly as one of the great leaders in speaker design.
Ap
Thanks - thats the info I was looking for, will check out M&Ks site.

I have been frequenting this forum for years even before i registered.... and i have to say that is one of the best designs (aesthetically) i have seen..
ABSOLUTLY BEAUTIFUL!

Hi Renato,

If it sounds as good as it looks, then you can be pleased with your fine looking sub! I'm still working on mine, not a puss/pull, but with a passive radiator. Are you planning to build some more, maybe different designs? My 10" sub with passive radiator

Good job!!!

Hi All,

1 TL with 1 x 10" and other, a BIG with 3 x 10" :) because I love TL
subwoofers :)

Hello Renato,

All of your subwoofers looks VERY nice, and I have no doubt that they sound excelent!

The woodwork looks perfect, congratulations :worship:

Guijs,

Valeu mesmo pelas palavras. :)

All,

In this week, I finished to my friend a BIG Subwoofers in Transmission
Line configuration... wiht only 2 x 12" (FS 22hz, XMAX 13mm)

The bass is the best I hear, big resolutin, fast with perfect
transient. For music, nothing is better... IMHO :)

The problem is the size (160cm x 70cm x 40cm) and your weigh, 150kg.
:(

Ps. I read english without problem, but write with all problems...

Tks,

Renato
