"ABC TV's series Long Way To The Top has become an Australian music phenomenon. Tracing the evolution of Australian rock music from its inception in the 1950s to the 21st century, it has become one of the most talked about series on Australian TV in recent years. The national concert tour staged this year by Michael Chugg, Kevin Jacobsen and Jack Utsick, continued to build the momentum. ABC TV filmed the Sydney leg of the Long Way To The Top tour and will air a two-hour extravaganza on Sunday December 1 at 7.30pm.
Performances by Australian rock legends such as Col Joye, Lonnie Lee, Judy Stone, Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs, Normie Rowe, Little Pattie, Axiom, Tamam Shud, Masters Apprentices, Ross Wilson, Stevie Wright and many, many more are featured throughout the special.
