AlephX board OK? - Click HERE for Original Thread

Just wondering if there is anything blatantly wrong with the board layout I have attached below.

I will double check the layout against the schematic... more interested in generic layout issues.

My objectives are:
- To make Mr Rollin's original circuit with fidelity
- To make a board that is small enough to easily create a stereo amp (actual size is 5" x 2.325")
- To not pay 89 Euro for a pair of boards

Main current paths are 3mm wide (0.12"). The remainder are 1mm wide (0.04")

Tried to keep main signal and ffedback paths as short as possible.

Thanks for any help.

Just a few thoughts, bear in mind I am no expert. Why not ac couple it on board? Also what parts do you have in mind for vr1,2 and 3?

Thanks for your interest eapavant. I was using something easily obtainable locally, but your questioning prompted me to look on digikey. I have now changed parts to something smaller that can be adjusted from the top.

I have also changed C1/C6 from a 16mm-25V part, to a 10mm-16V part. Add to this the laying down of the power fets and I believe I am much closer to my final layout. With a board size of 4.7" x 2.7" I am reasonably happy (see below).

RE: AC coupling caps on the board, I take it you mean input coupling?

I'm not sure what preamp I will be using... may not ac couple the amp.

Yes I was refering to input caps;) I have mine off the board's.
