Lovoltech jfet LU1014D complete curves - Click HERE for Original Thread

Hi, everyone.
Seems to me that the LU1014D not are linear up few volts in the output characteristics. The maker show this characteristics in the region 0-5 volt, 0-50 ampere and that are ok, but further?
Is there someone that have measured or plotted the output curves in the complete range 0-24 V, 0-50 A or so?

Francesco.

The area above 5 volts is well described, but the interesting
area is down around 2-4 volts, where you see some triode-like
curvature. Unfortunately, this portion of the curve varies
more between devices than elsewhere.

Hi Nelson, where are described the I/V curves over 5 volts? I not read in the datasheet. Have you drawn the I/V characteristics in the region 0-1 A; 0-24 V? In my application the voltage rail is about 16 V and the bias current about 500 mA. At very low level the sound in ok, but when the signal raising, i hear more distortion (a sort of spikes). So i have thougth that over 5 V the curves become as conventional mosfet or BJT. Another problem is its input capacitor that limit the high frequencies heavily. In your application (ZEN 9, F3) the two problem are resolved brilliantly with cascode operation, but in my case it isn't foresaw. In audio application the lovoltech JFET is usable under 5 V only? This seems an enormous limit for audio power application.
We must waiting for future devices?

You can download the full data sheet from Lovoltech, and
you'll find that above 5 volts or so they look a lot like
Mosfets in terms of the curvature.

I have the lovoltech datasheet, but i not able to find curvatures over 5 V, excuse me.
i will post the URL of the datasheet in question.

Figures 6 and 8 of the data sheet are the curves to which I
was referring. They aren't the best, but there they are.

These curvatures are partially. they finished to Vds=5 V, while the max device's Vds voltage is 24 V. Now i want that you look to the follower figures and tell me what you think about its. For my application i search one of this type.
