hi,
have a look at lc-audio's voltage regulator. It's a variation of the jung-circuit but with op-amps fed by the unregulated line.
But it uses only one voltage reference for both (+/-) rails.
Would the (ok, very low) noise from the LM329, amplified by the op-amps, cancel out in an application due to the complementary rails or is it 'just' about parts count?

It's not at all a "jung" regulator, it's a very basic opamp regulator.
It uses only one reference only for simplicity. I think you should LP-filter the reference a bit maybe to reduce the noise.
I don't know how good it will work in real life but possibly you'll need gate resistors (50-500 ohms) in order to avoid oscillations.
If you search you will find the this design has been discussed here already by the designer himself. |
