Could this driver actually be used in a full range application? The main problem why aluminum cone speakers usually cannot be used for higher frequency lies in their break-up nodes. However, looking at the cumulative spectrum decay graph of the DA175 at Zaph's site (www.zaphauiod.com), it looks like the resonances aren't too bad. The distortion figures are also within acceptable limits. I suppose the DA135 isn't substantially different from the DA175. The DA135 has a resonance peak at 9 KHz so my suggestion is to use a notch filter and listen to the result! If you try it out, please let me know! By the way: Keep in mind that these speakers have a bad dispersion characteristic, so listen to them on axis!
