Tannoy TS8 and two drivers - Click HERE for Original Thread

hi,

i currently have a pair of 10.5L FR125s's and a Tannoy TS8 sub.

can i run two of the TS8 8" drivers in seperate cabinets from the 1 200w amp in a seperate box?

the aim is to mount them in a same sized 12L enclosure that is the same width and depth of my FR125's so to effectivley make a floorstander.

the reason i want two seperate enclosures is because i go between home and uni a lot so two smaller boxes would be more convinient than one big one.

i wish to use the high pass filter for the FR125's at 80Hz.

and i can pick up a spare TS8 driver for around £40.

If TS8 drivers are 8 ohms each, then running two in parallel would be a 4 ohms load so if your 200W amplifier is 4 ohms stable there's no problems with it.

More information on TS8 drivers and your amplifier is needed.
