I am trying my first tube project, a phono pre.

With the tube rectified LCLC power supply at the very bottom of the page

But I can not figure out where to buy these inductors

20H @ 30mA
5H @ 30mA

Where should I get them?

Tried Lundahl or Sowter?

inductors -- Hammond carries low, medium and high current chokes -- http://www.hammondmfg.com/5cchk.htm -- for 2 sections of a preamp the circuit probably demands 20ma or thereabouts -- you don't have to be ultra-precise in the inductance -- but do need enough current handling capability.

FWIW -- C3 and R7 are also part of the passive RIAA filter. You might get a tad better bass performance out of the design if C3 is increased to 220nF, and R8 to 680K -- the original design is very good, however.

build it as specified, then change the values of C3 and R7 and see which sounds better. the difference is only a few tenths of a decibel.

and after you build it, post a picture.
