Jensen - unusual cap. - Click HERE for Original Thread

Came across this, it has a single value written on the case but has three leads (had to fix the scan).

I'd like to know what it is if anyone knows?

just look at the site of Jensen:cool:

I've looked at dozens of sites including Jensencapacitors, but no info on these.

From the value it looks like a motor starter capacitor, or something similar?. If you check the connections I'm presuming either two of them will be connected together, or one won't be connected at all - the three connections are used just for mechanical stability when mounted.

Hmm, plausible. BTW the case is 1 5/8" long. My research tells me so far that other mixed dielectric caps are paper and polypropylene.

that may be a dual capacitor with two sections and a common negative or ground connection....

Yes, I measure 3u3 across two terminals only, and open circuit across all.
