radio shack tranny? - Click HERE for Original Thread

Hi All,

Roger Sander's book talks about rewinding Radio Shack trannies for use in ESL's but I'm not clear on whether it's for charging the diaphram or powering the stators. Has anyone here tried out rewound Radio Shack trannies to power stators?

The cookbook mentions radio shack. I tried to wind one on a u shaped core from a PT., but the core was satuated at 10 V input. I will wind one on a EI core. I am wondering if I should use a split bobbin? That is a seperate pri and sec wind on the same core. Turns ratio and cond. size another ? Better do some more reading...
