Hi
I've been searching for information about DIY-Projects with the
7293 IC, when I found this interesting forum.
I wonder if you an help me with a preamp solution.
At the moment, I'm trying a little 2.1 Project with the 7293,
using this circuit:
http://home.s-planet.de/t.dauner/7293/ES7293-100.PDF
The Layout is 95% that one from the data sheet:

page 11
3 PCBs with 2 TDAs parallel each, the bass channel
will be produced with an active crossover network.
I want to use it with my pc, CD-player and my old FM tuner.
First I wanted to use it without a preamp, using just a
potentiometer for volume control ("passive preamp")
But im not sure if they have enough power to drive the
TDA and parallel the active crossover network for the
Basschannel(48K input resistance). I'm also afraid that
turning the potentiometer might affect the frequency response.
So I decided to use a OP Buffer, like TL071, NE5534 or OPA627.
I think about a solution like this:
crossover network - TDAs
CD-Player/PC - Op Buffer - Potentiometer-
TDAs
What I need now is a circuit for Buffer and Potentiometer.
It should contain a low pass filter to prevent RF from entering the
TDAs. I DONT need balance and bass/treble control.
Any Ideas?
Thanks,
Stephan |

I hope this is more visible:
############################### -> crossover -> TDAs
cd-player/pc -> Op-Buffer -> Potentiometer ->
