Does anybody have the possibility of designing a (rectangular?) reflector? - Click HERE for Original Thread

Hello.

It would be very good if somebody could extra design a reflector for a certain lamp (arc) and TFT size and form.
This would be good if somebody so has access to a software and would do it.

Best for this lamp: http://www.ushio.com/det_gl_ultraarc.htm
It has a light arc length of 27 mm. It is the most economic lamp with good values for the diy-projector.

The reflector should be rectangular if this is possible. The TFT size of a 15.4 inches TFT amounts to 33.11 cm of x 20.69 cm. The reflector should be a little more greatly as the TFT.
E.g. 34.75 cm of x 21.75 cm (~ 5% greater).

Is it physically possible to design the reflector on the 27 mm arc and to get a parallel beam?

If we had a reflector calculated especially (CAD-file), each after one could seek possibility of having it produced (or producing himself).
E.g. with a large CNC machine. So perhaps a pressing form and a stamp with which reflectors can be pressed of aluminium metal could be produced. Everybody can buy a 12 ton press for 100 dollars. Or for 140 dollars a 20 ton press.

We could profit from it worldwide. If I then could produce reflectors at home, I would do this for everybody.
