HIFI retailer in Hong kong and China wanted - Click HERE for Original Thread

Hi, I'm on the market for a new CD-player and since many of the Chinese players are WAY beyond "our" in both price and buildquality I want to buy one from China. I have earlier bought from CoemAudio in Hong kong and know of others who have used Cattylink, Nysound and Timaudio but since these stores seem to have specialised in exporting products and therefore have a higher price I want to try different channels. After a while I thought that I don't want to spend a couple of hundred dollars in a store if I don't know if they can be trusted.

So, why not ask someone on location so to say?
Do any one here know a retailer who can send a CD-player around half the world and has decent prices?

The brands I'm intrested in are Shanling, Original, Jungson and similar.

Best regards!

Isn't shipping pretty expensive? Perhaps you can send me a mail. There are really so many brands around now that it's really confusing.

"Done"
As in "Ok, I just sent you an E-mail" :D

Perhaps it didn't get througt DIYAudio?
Anyway, I need to write this down anyway.

I'm as I said on the prowl for a new cdplayer and since the quality of chineese brands are well documented in Sweden I want one of those. I havn't decided but something like:
Original
2008
Da Vinci
A8T

Jungson
Moon harbour HDCD

Can't think of more models but brands like Xindak, shanling, Esound and Opera-consance are always nice

The thing is that even with a shippingcost around or above 100$, customs and 25% VAT it's still much less expencive (offten) than what the official swedish retailers charge.

I have a wholesaler on mainland China and for the weight of the parcels I get, DHL isn't too bad. About 1/2 the price of shipping the same from Australia

Could you E-mail me a homepage or similar? Sounds like something I should look into.

It's a parts wholesaler - unless you want to build a CD ;)
kmj
oh, ok, parts. Building a CD is a bit over the top I think.

If you're just considering personal use, it would be much quicker for me to find a Taiwan Brand since the China brands are imported under so many different names. I don't know if you've hear about Vincent or not?

I guess buying from Shenzhen (China) would be cheaper. But HK and Taiwan are probably a lot safer. On the other hand, Shenzhen is perhaps mainly a source for B2B.

Huh??

Vincent=Sheng-ya ;)
Yes, it's just one for personal use. I'm just looking since i'm trying to close a deal on a used Jungson but if one finds a good deal, who knows?

B2B is business to business?

I though Vincent=Audio Refinement, not sure about Sheng-ya. Is Sheng-ya considered good?
kmj
business to business, OK!

I think sheng-ya is one of vincents many names... And I guess that they are considered good. Original is probably better but not sure, truth be told.

Sorry if I caused any confusion. It seems Shenzhen is mainly a manufacturing/business center. Lots of Hong Kong business there because of the lower wages.

The people that live in Shenzhen are most likely nice. But it does seem a bit like a "Wild East."
