What causes light flicker? - Click HERE for Original Thread

I have the Lumen lab lighting kit, when I power it up, the light continues to flicker even after 30 mins. Why? is it a bad ballast or lamp? or is it just something that I did wrong?

Someone in this site mentioned that bad grounding might cause this kind of flicker, but the wires that I used to power the ballast are thicker than those comming out of the ballast, isn't that good enough?
Any ideas?

Good grounding doesn't just mean the wires are connected tightly. It also means that what you're connecting them to is a "good ground".

I am connecting the ground wire to the wire that leads to the center pin of the plug, is that good?
