Unsoldering EEPROM chips - Click HERE for Original Thread

I have old 93CS66 chips that I need to read and then transfer the program on to new replacement chips. The old chips are 8-pin dips and are soldered on pc boards; how can I unsolder them without damaging the chips or the program on them?

If you don't know anyone who owns a Pace rework station, just use a solder wick and some flux. Be sure not too hold your iron on the chip for too long, as you don't want to overheat it.
