I apologize if this has been covered somewhere and i'm just missing it but i really can't find anything.
the motor on my technics turntable crapped out on me and i wanna replace it asap.

from what i can tell it's frequency servo motor. I don't need anything super extravegant, just something that will work well. any suggestions?

My experience in this situation is that replacement motors are rarely available from Japanese mass market manufacturers, and if they are available replacement cost is so prohibitive as to make it not worthwhile. I would look around on eBay for a replacement motor, try googling the motor part number (that has worked for me occasionally) Most likely just purchase another turntable, if you are looking for something with longevity try to find a thorens or similar with a sychronous motor. Ebay is a good source for a replacement turntable or a possible parts unit to repair yours. Technics tt servo motors are not very good quality and are designed for a relatively short service life. Good luck..
