What to do with FE103S, except horns? - Click HERE for Original Thread

Gentlemen,

sorry for x-posting / re-posting my question from the general loudspeaker sub-board to here, but it was suggested to do so, since the question is in re a fullrange.

I am wondering if it would make sense to run an ACR / Fostex FE103S down to, say, 70-80 Hz or something and add a sort of subwoofer (for each box). Sort of 2-way speaker with low x-over frequency.

Except kepa1, has someone done this before and/or good suggestions?

Thank you,

Tom

The recommended fostex BR enclosure works fine when a subwoofer is added.

Moreover, if you have two amps, you may go with a multiamplified system by adding a simple passive line xover (1 pot, 2 resistors and 2 cap, see for example here ). A simple but efficient system that I have had, IMHO.
